Karama Connection

Where We Work

Karama Connection is currently working in Arusha, Tanzania. Tanzania is in East Africa on the Indian Ocean. Its area is three times that of New Mexico. Tanzania contains three of Africa's best known lakes — Victoria in the north, Tanganyika in the west, and Nyasa in the south. Mount Kilimanjaro in the north is the highest point on the continent at 19,340 feet.

Tanzania has been spared the internal strife that has blighted many African states. However, it remains one of the poorest countries in the world, with many of its people living below the World Bank poverty line. With more than one million people infected with HIV, AIDS care and prevention have been major public health issues.

Karama Connection currently supports St. Lucia Nursing Home and Orphanage located in the Moshono Ward and St. Lucia Preschool in Baraa Ward
